The psalmist reminds us that even in the Old Testament times, music was used to express our praise and adoration. Music at Knox has been an integral part of our services of worship as we express our thanksgiving through song and instrumental music.
Jr. Choir: Music begins at an early age at Knox Church and all children,
regardless of age, are invited to become a part of the Junior Choir. The Junior Choir, led by Director Patricia Meathrell, often participates in regular Church services, as well as presenting musical programmes from time to time. Children and congregation alike benefit from the musical abilities of these, our youngest Choir members.
Sr. Choir: Music has been an important aspect of worship at Knox Church for many years. The Choir leads the congregation in hymn singing, provides anthems and features various soloists at each Church service. Instrumentalists, orchestra, brass or string ensembles and members of the Choir contribute with instrumental accompaniment to many of the Choir anthems.
The organist/choir director at Knox is Martin Anderle. Martin brings a wealth of wisdom and talent from his international career and his previous work within Canada within the United Church.
